Job Description

A CQC Manager with relevant experience. We will consider a newly qualified CQC manager. Salary and hours to be negotiated, dependent on experience. The Supported Living Manager is responsible for the effective leadership, management, and development of supported living services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support for individuals to live as independently as possible. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes positive outcomes for service users, and leads teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and empowering care.

Key Responsibilities - Service Management



Oversee the day-to-day running of supported living services. Ensure services are safe, well-led, responsive, and person-centred. Develop and review support plans, risk assessments, and care documentation. Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion for all individuals supported.

Leadership & Staff Management



Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff teams. Provide regular supervision, appraisals, and performance management. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional working culture. Ensure staff are trained in mandatory and specialist areas relevant to service users' needs.

Quality & Compliance



Ensure compliance with CQC standards, local authority requirements, and company policies. Prepare for and manage inspections and audits. Monitor quality through observations, feedback, and service reviews. Implement action plans to address areas for improvement.

Safeguarding & Risk Management



Act as a safeguarding lead, ensuring concerns are reported and managed appropriately. Ensure health and safety standards are met across all services. Manage incidents, accidents, and complaints effectively.

Financial & Operational Management



Manage service budgets, staffing levels, and rotas. Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality. Work with commissioners and stakeholders to develop and sustain services.

Partnership & Communication



Build strong relationships with service users, families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and commissioners. Represent the organisation professionally at meetings and reviews. Advocate for individuals and promote their rights and wellbeing.

Person Specification (Essential)



Experience managing supported living or similar care services. Strong knowledge of person-centred care and supported living models. Understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures. Proven leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Ability to work flexibly and respond to service needs.

Desirable



Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent). Experience working with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, or complex needs. Experience working with commissioners and local authorities.
