This role involves overseeing two registered care homes (10 beds in total) and one supported living service (4 bed), supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and associated conditions.
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care homes specialising in supporting people with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of supported living and residential care home environments, and a dedication to delivering exceptional person-centred care. We are looking for an individual who has a commitment to delivering high quality care, a strong working knowledge of regulatory standards, excellent organisational and communication skills and a "can do" attitude. They must be kind and caring, have a hands-on approach and must be willing to work with the staff team to mentor, nurture and develop their skills and knowledge.
Duties
Lead and manage the team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure high standards of care.
Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to the individual's needs.
Oversee medication administration processes in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC regulations and health & safety standards.
Monitor the quality of care provided through audits, resident feedback, and staff performance reviews.
Facilitate staff training programmes to maintain professional development and ensure best practice in senior care.
Manage operational aspects such as staffing rotas and resource allocation efficiently.
Foster positive relationships with people's families, external healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement centred on people's wellbeing and safety.
Experience
Proven management experience within supported living or care home settings.
Extensive background in supporting people with learning disabilities.
Demonstrable experience in developing personalised care plans and overseeing medication administration.
Supervising or leadership experience within a care home or supported living setting is essential.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to adult social care (such as CQC standards).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team effectively.
