Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient movement of heavy materials and equipment on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting large-scale projects and ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction processes, and a valid driving licence. Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Must have Crane lifting Supervisor Card and Slinger ticket, Previous experience, Please call Arthur on 07411249993.

Responsibilities



Safely directing the movement of lifting equipment and loads during construction activities Assisting crane operators with load positioning and securing materials Ensuring all lifting operations comply with health and safety regulations Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow Conducting routine inspections of lifting gear and ensuring it is in good condition Supporting the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or other temporary structures as required Maintaining clear documentation of lifting activities and safety checks

Skills



Proven experience in construction or related industries is desirable Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and site managers Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear instructions and reporting Valid driving licence, with experience driving large vehicles or lorries preferred Ability to work safely under pressure in a busy construction environment Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and work at heights when necessary

Job Type: Temporary
