The Role
As Creche Manager, you will ensure our youngest club members receive exceptional care in a safe, stimulating, educational, and fun environment. The Creche itself is open to ages 0-5 years and extra activities take place during weekends and school holidays for ages 5-10.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Management
: Oversee the daily operations of the creche, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management. Develop and implement staff rotas for weekdays, weekends, and Holiday Club offerings.
Curriculum Development
: Design and implement age-appropriate programs aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, promoting holistic child development.
Compliance & Safeguarding
: Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and guidelines, including Ofsted regulations, health and safety standards, and safeguarding policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required. It is worth noting that we are voluntary registered with Ofsted as we strive to provide the best care for our members.
Parental Engagement
: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
Facility Management
: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the creche environment, ensuring it remains a safe and welcoming space for children and families.
Working Hours
The Creche operates from 09:00 to 13:00, Monday to Sunday. The Manager role requires working from 08:30 to 13:15, Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Flexibility to cover additional days for holiday cover is advantageous. This is a part-time position, averaging 23.75 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification
At least two years of post-qualification experience in a childcare setting
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid qualifications are beneficial
