We are seeking:
A dedicated, reliable, and proactive support worker who has obtained, at least, degree-level qualifications in psychology, SEN, social care, occupational therapy, health and/or in arts-related subjects, such as fine art, games, digital design, art history, music, sound design etc.
Any previous knowledge or experience of autism would be an advantage.
The Role:
Supporting the holistic therapeutic care delivery and supporting the client around his art-based opportunities and creative projects.
Includes regular, clinically led, whole team meetings
You will provide vital social interaction opportunities for the client
Domestic work including cooking and household cleaning to maintain the home in a clean and tidy condition.
Administrative activities associated with the smooth running of the service.
You will have an aptitude for and dedication to providing person-centred care at all times, incorporating this ideal into every decision you make for the client.
Essential qualities:
Caring, reliable, creative, organised, proactive, a good team player, willing to learn
Patient and sensitive with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluency in spoken English and proficiency in written English, to support client in their creative writing projects and correspondence, together with a good typing ability. Scribing for the client is vital to this role.
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Must be comfortable with pets
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
A non-smoker or vaper due to the clients sensory sensitivities.
Desirable qualities:
Administrative, management and/or HR experience
