Games Design Tutor Specialising in Art

We are a Training Provider with over 26 years' experience of working with young people aged 16-19 in South London and Surrey supporting them to find their chosen path in education and preparing them for the world of work and adulthood. We place high importance on the relationship all our staff build with our students. This bond enables us to improve each student's personal and social skills in a nurturing and protected environment. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all the young people and staff we work with.

The cohort of students is of mixed ability levels, being Neurotypical and Neurodiverse some also have Educational Health & Care plans (EHCPs). The class is supported with Learning Support Assistants who support students with their vocational qualification, personal development, and wellbeing.

The candidate will:

Hold a teaching/Assessing qualification, or be prepared to work towards

Qualified to Level 3 in Games Design Creative Media

Be confident working with Photoshop, Zbrush, Maya, Unity & Blender

Be confident with digital art, drawing, modelling and animation

Work with the team to develop course materials, schemes of work & lesson plans

A good understanding of Safeguarding/Prevent

Knowledge and experience of teaching mixed ability groups SEND/EHCP

Strong oral and written communication skills for teaching and fulfilling administrative tasks

The ability to perform a tutorial role and to respond with sensitivity to student's needs and expectations

The ability to monitor and assess and record progress of the learners and provide advice and feedback in relation to their learning

Accurate and timely completion of marking and monitoring of progression on our Management Information System

Salary

30,000=35,000 based on qualifications and experience
