Opportunity Overview
We have an exciting opportunity within the team for a Creative Technical Demonstrator in Journalism. We are looking for an individual who has experience in the TV News Industry and who is comfortable demonstrating the technology to others.
As a key player, your exceptional teamwork skills will come into play daily and at the same time we will give you the autonomy to go off and make your own decisions. Responsibilities will include delivering technical tuition to students in areas such as Video and Audio editing, supporting students outside classes as they work on their assessed projects and maintaining the specialist Journalism TV & Radio Studio spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to customers regarding the use of the Journalism Facilities.
  • Demonstrate the correct methods and techniques for a range of specialist equipment relating to the subject area, to both staff and students, either on a one-to-one ad-hoc basis, or within scheduled groups.
  • Ensure the provision of excellent, relevant and timely customer service to all customers both internal and external.
  • Liaise as necessary with external clients and suppliers to solve technical issues and to provide an effective customer driven service.
  • Provide advice and support with developing our facilities and equipment in line with current market trends
