Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and imaginative
Creative Writing Tutor / Supervisor
to lead an after-schoolCreative Writing Club
at a primary school inSwindon
. This role offers the opportunity to inspire children through writing, helping them develop storytelling skills, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.The club runs for
one hour per week, Wednesday, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
, giving children a weekly opportunity to explore writing, develop their ideas, and express themselves through stories, poems, and creative projects.Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise children during creative writing sessions in a safe and encouraging environment. Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that foster imagination, writing skills, and self-expression. Encourage creativity, confidence, and a love of writing. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff about children's progress. Ensure the learning space and resources are safe, organized, and ready for use.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching or leading creative writing sessions for children. Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, fun, and creative way. Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff. A background in English, literature, or creative writing education is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 08/09/2025
