About the Role

We are seeking an organised and motivated Credit Control Assistant to join our busy finance team in Harrogate, close to Hornbeam train station. The ideal candidate will have strong numeracy and communication skills, and a confident telephone manner. Some prior credit control experience is beneficial but not essential.

Key responsibilities

Take responsibility for monitoring a section of the sales ledger and diligently follow up on overdue payments Accurately posting sales receipts to the ledger Contacting customers regularly by telephone and email Recording all chasing contact promptly and accurately in Sage software Liasing with other teams to ensure customer queries are swiftly resolved Provide support and cover for fellow team members when required

What We're Looking For

Strong communication skills, with a confident and polite phone manner Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multi-task Good IT skills - including Excel Prior credit control experience is beneficial but not essential Sage software experience beneficial but not essential Ability to commute daily to our offices in Harrogate
