Job Description

Responsibilities

1.Collection and Accounting of Due Premium Receivables



Capture of all due premium debt, effect the collection of all unpaid premium. Identifying any cleansing issues and liaising with underwriting departments, brokers/agents and the insured to resolve accordingly. Ensure the collection of all due premium receivable through processes designed in accordance with the collection and credit control guidelines.

2. Settlement of reinsurance receivables and payables



Following with Reinsurance procedures to deal with all reinsurance accounts receivables and payables requests. Delivery monthly reinsurance AR/AP updates to reinsurance team.

Organise meeting to present result and progress for each month, monitoring reinsurance AR/AP position and query with reinsurance team for any recoverability concerns.

Following with reinsurance AR/AP procedure to process reinsurance payments and manage reinsurance receipt funds for ledger booking and POA settlement.

Working with specific project team to answer all settlement related questions internally and externally (from lawyer), reconcile settlement bdx and allocate POA against relevant premiums.

3. Bank Reconciliation and Reinsurance Debts Analysis Reporting



Prepare Bank Reconciliations for company's usual accounts monthly and following up unreconciling items in time. Produce Reinsurance Debts Analysis Reporting which including debts collectable, debts aging, debtors risk and etc. and organise meeting with reinsurance team to update debts and settlement progress.

Monitor the designated accounts complied with credit terms/period, and highlight potential issues, deviances or fluctuations to the Credit Control functional manager, assisting in the management of credit risk.

4.Reinsurance Accounts Receivables and Payables Management Procedure Updating and Improvement.



Review and update Reinsurance Accounts Receivables and Payables Management Procedures regularly. Assist credit control manager to optimise premium and reinsurance premium collection and settlement processing, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of credit control function's daily operation.

Assist in the regular review and updating of other procedures when needed to support continuous improvement.

5. Internal and External Audit and Compliance



Working on external audit, preparing reinsurance related accounts' listing reconciliation and providing evidence for selected samples.

Working with internal audit and compliance team, to make sure relevant premium and reinsurance premium credit control processing and procedures are fully compliance with policy and regulation.

6. Client Relationship Management and Other AD HOC Tasks



Maintain regular communication with internal customers to the collection progress and to escalate issues. Professional communication with external intermediaries on statement reconciliation, payment collection or issues clarification by phone, e-mail or face to face.

Other designated work, and support to credit control related projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance & accounting.

Relevant experience is preferable but not compulsory.

Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others.

Good Excel skills and accountancy software

Ability to maintain strong relationships with external agents/clients

Chinese language skills are required including reading and writing.
