Join Our Visionary Finance Team at Middlesex University. Middlesex University is seeking a dedicated Credit Control Supervisor to join our Financial Services team during an exciting period of transformation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial sustainability of our university by managing student and commercial income streams with precision and care.
You'll be at the heart of our financial operations, supervising a team of credit control officers and ensuring accurate billing, proactive debt recovery, seamless reconciliations for student and sundry accounts and implementing credit control processes to minimise bad debts and maximise cashflow.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Registry, Accommodation and Academic Services to ensure appropriate service levels are agreed and achieved. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver an outstanding educational experience while maintaining robust financial governance.
We're looking for someone who combines financial expertise with exceptional communication skills, as you'll be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient credit control function. You will need to have the confidence to drive credit control activities to ensure debt levels are reduced each year.
To thrive in this role you should have: strong experience in credit control, proven supervisory experience with a track record of effective team management, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; strong understanding of credit control principles, practices and regulations; ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines; and be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
While experience in higher education finance would be advantageous, we're equally interested in transferable skills from other sectors.
This is more than just a credit control position, it's an opportunity to: play a key role in our university's financial transformation, develop your career with potential study support (AAT/ICM qualifications); enjoy hybrid working arrangements with a supportive team environment; and benefit from our generous holiday allowance and inclusive benefits package.
Middlesex University is committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
