The Role
A fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven Credit Controller has opened up within our Finance team. The role would suit an experienced Credit Controller who can hit the ground running. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring that debt is collected to agreed terms to maximize cashflow.
This role is fullyoffice-based in Lasham, Hampshire and requires 5 days a week.
Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm with 1-hour unpaid break.
Own Transport is essential as our HQ is not located near public transport links.
Main Responsibilities
Meet and exceed set credit control targets
Check new hire accounts on daily basis
Perform weekly and monthly checks to confirm all invoices and credit notes have been raised
Check allocations of revenue prior to transfer from Syrinx to Sage200
Process customer payments (bank transfers, card payments, direct debits)
Proactively chase outstanding debt using Credit Hound software
Manage the dunning process via Credit Hound
Refer overdue accounts to Top Service for collection and manage the process
Conduct regular review of credit limits for existing customers
Ensure customer accounts are in good order by matching receipts and credit notes
Partner with other departments to resolve account queries quickly and efficiently
Manage event-focused credit control and reporting
Provide weekly and monthly credit management reporting
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in high volume credit control
You will need to be customer-focused, conscientious with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
Confident user of Excel with advanced proficiency in formulas (pivot tables, lookups, sumif(s)) and other tools that enhance data analysis
Preferred experience with Sage Line 200
Experience with Credit Hound or similar credit control software would be advantageous
Clear and practical communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
A self-starter who proactively engages with tasks and responsibilities within a team
Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
