The Role:
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join our friendly team at our Birtley site supporting the Management Accountant, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment whilst taking ownership of your role and making a real impact in a growing, dynamic business.
What you will be doing:
Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices to support healthy cash flow.
Control aged debt by managing an aged debt ledger whilst developing strategies to do so along the way.
Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers while ensuring effective credit control
Collaborate closely with customer service teams to ensure robust monthly financial performance. and balance sheet health.
Contribute to the overall financial stability and profitability of the business.
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in credit control.
Track record of reducing aged debt and improving collection KPIs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels
Excellent time management, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
A self-starter with good attention to detail and accuracy.
Flexible, committed, and able to use your own initiative.
Able to remain calm and focused in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
