Overview


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the financial services sector.

Duties



Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments are received. Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess risk levels. Communicate with customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue invoices. Prepare and send out monthly statements and reminders for outstanding debts. Collaborate with the sales team to resolve customer disputes related to billing or payment. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in accounting software. Assist in the preparation of reports related to cash flow and outstanding debts. Payroll

Skills



Proficiency in Xero software is essential for managing financial records effectively. Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with clients regarding their accounts. Ability to analyse financial information and identify discrepancies or trends that require attention. Experience in accounts payable is advantageous, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial processes. Background in telemarketing can enhance communication skills, aiding in effective debt collection strategies. Familiarity with financial services will be beneficial for understanding client needs and industry standards.
