About the Role



We are seeking a proactive and Customer Service oriented Credit Controller to join our dynamic Finance team at our head office in Hyde. Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive, accurate and timely accounting service to support and strengthen the Company's performance.

Job Responsibilities

:

To familiarise yourself to all company credit control, accounting, quality, and operational procedures. Ensure customers pay within agreed terms, following the company's debt collection process and proactively chasing outstanding payments. Manage daily on hold customer accounts for both Industrial Packaging and Services, synchronising with all departments concerned. Handle customer account queries and complaints efficiently, liaising with Account Managers to achieve timely resolution and logging all issues within the non-conformance management system. Daily handling of customer payments, including: Posting receipts on customer accounts. Allocation of payments to sales invoices. Daily and monthly bank account reconciliations. Managing proforma and online customer payments. Process new customer accounts, including: Obtaining credit references Creating account details on the operating system Setting and managing agreed credit limits Maintaining accurate customer data to company standards. Prepare and issue monthly customer statements. Escalate queries promptly and provide regular updates on customer account status. Maintain professionalism, confidence, and accuracy in all internal and external debt management communication. Review and suggest improvements to administrative processes to enhance efficiency. Effectively maintain credit control process for all revenue streams. Carry out all associated administrative duties, including filing and record keeping.

Skills & Competencies



We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

Experience in credit control, debt recovery and managing customer debt.

Proven ability to meet set departmental performance targets.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Customer-focused with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally

Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and ability to prioritise workload

Resilient, proactive problem-solver with high integrity and ability to work well in a team

: 30,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00
