We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive client relationships. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analysis capabilities, and proficiency ideally with Bevica. The ideal applicant will have experience in financial services or related fields and possess a professional phone etiquette to effectively handle client interactions.
Duties
Looking after own ledger of customers, credit checking orders and manging and monitoring collections
Liaise with account managers regarding customers
Providing cover where needed to open new accounts and sending welcome information to new customers
Reconciliation of customer accounts
Customer database maintenance
Monitor and adjust credit limits for existing customers to ensure we are providing appropriate levels of credit
To liaise with customers concerning delinquent balances and follow up where necessary
Follow company policies regarding the issue of credit and collection of debt
Ensure any potential bad debts are flagged to the Credit Control Manager as soon as they become apparent
Liaise with the internal departments where necessary regarding customer queries and raise credits accordingly
Cover of direct debit system administration
Ad hoc tasks relating to credit control where required
Experience
2 years' experience in a similar role
Sales ledger experience is desirable
Maths GCSE Grade 4 or C or above
Maths A levels and or AAT are desirable, but the successful candidate must be numerate
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Good telephone manner
Able to negotiate and confident holding difficult conversations
Competent using MS office especially excel
Microsoft Business Central or Navision experience is desirable but not essential
Credit Control experience (preferably in a B2B environment)
