Job Role:

We're looking for someone organized, friendly, and eager to learn to join our Finance team as a

temporary Credit Controller until the end of November 2025.

In this role, you'll look after a section of our Sales Ledger -- making sure customer payments are received, keeping records accurate, and helping resolve queries.

No previous credit control experience is needed.

Main Duties:

Look after your own section of the Sales Ledger and help keep accounts up to date. Contact customers (by phone or email) to arrange payment of invoices, following company guidelines. Spot any unusual payment patterns and flag them to your manager. Work with the Returns team to resolve any issues or disputes, aiming to secure payment quickly and fairly. Match incoming payments to the right invoices and keep accurate records. Help prepare cash forecasts and meet month-end reporting deadlines (with guidance). Keep customer information up to date in our system. Open new accounts following company procedures. Check orders on "Credit Hold" and prepare paperwork to help get them released promptly while minimizing risk. Assist with other finance-related admin as needed.

Experience:

Basic numeracy skills and comfort working with figures. Communicate clearly and confidently in person, on the phone, and by email. Spot potential issues and know when to escalate them. Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer systems comfortably. Prioritize tasks effectively and work with attention to detail. Build good relationships with colleagues and customers. Ability to stay calm under pressure when deadlines are tight. Good at following processes and working within set guidelines. Experience keeping accurate records or data entry. Problem-solving mindset -- finding practical ways to resolve customer queries. Understanding of confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly. Keen to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Package:

25k - 27k depending on experience Annual leave - 25 days and bank holidays pro-rata Full training provided

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
