Abacus Cards are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Controller to join our financial team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of payments while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, along with excellent phone etiquette to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

& Specification;

Collecting Payments:

Proactively contacting customers to collect overdue payments, negotiating repayment plans, and pursuing legal action when necessary.

Managing Overdue Accounts:

Monitoring and managing accounts receivable, tracking outstanding invoices, and identifying and resolving issues.

Resolving Payment Disputes:

Addressing customer queries, disputes, and billing issues, and finding mutually acceptable solutions.

Maintaining Records:

Keeping accurate records of customer accounts, payment history, and debt recovery efforts.

Building Relationships:

Maintaining strong relationships with customers

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in credit control or a related financial services role is required. Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Essential for effectively interacting with customers, resolving disputes, and negotiating repayment plans. Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Ensuring accurate records, timely payments, and efficient processes. Time Management and Organizational Skills: Managing multiple accounts, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and debt recovery processes. Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving payment issues, disputes, and other challenges. Proficiency in Accounting Software: Using accounting software to manage accounts, track payments, and generate reports.
