Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be the main person responsible for monitoring and recovering debt owed to the practices.

This role covers our two practices in Paisley and Greenock and will involve time spent in both.

Role responsibilities

Includes but not limited to the following:

Being the main person responsible for monitoring and recovering debt owed to the practice. Running and issuing daily, weekly and monthly statement runs as required. Proactively communicating with clients who owe money via telephone, text, email and letter. Continuously monitor and review payment arrangements, following up when required. Receive and allocate payments from insurance and other external companies. Process and issue refunds to clients when required. Liaise with our external debt collection company, once all internal efforts to recover debt have been exhausted. Consolidate weekly takings and take cash to be banked. Regularly liaise with the practice management team to update on current debt levels.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competent in all Microsoft office and confident in learning our practice management system. A proven attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ensuring prioritisation and timely completion of tasks.

Ideal candidate

Experience in commercial debt recovery. A natural negotiator with a confident and professional approach. Be able to work effectively as part of the team as well as prioritising a busy caseload using own initiative.
