We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, maintaining positive client relationships, and ensuring timely payments. Duties

Monitor and manage overdue accounts to ensure prompt collection of payments Liaise with clients via telephone and email to follow up on outstanding debts Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment agreements using accounting software Analyse debtor reports to identify trends and potential issues Assist with data entry related to accounts receivable and payable processes Collaborate with the accounts team and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies Prepare regular reports on debt collection progress for management review Support the finance department during month-end closing procedures

Skills

Proven experience in accounts receivable within a financial services environment Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively Proficiency in accounting software and data entry systems Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for client interactions Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in debt collection processes Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach with team members
