The Role
As the
Credit Controller
, you'll take a hands-on approach to managing the ledger day to day for our recruitment brands.
As a snapshot you will:
Have responsibility for managing and maintaining the client sales ledger.
Conduct credit checks on new clients via external credit agencies.
Process and allocate daily receipts promptly and accurately.
Proactively chase outstanding debts within agreed payment terms to achieve collection targets.
Perform weekly reconciliation of client accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Identify and resolve overdue accounts, escalating concerns where necessary.
Liaise with internal teams and external clients to resolve billing queries and discrepancies quickly.
Produce aged debt and cash collection reports for management as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has demonstrable experience working in Credit Control that understands credit control processes, invoicing, and debt recovery.
You'll bring:
Experience working in a Credit Control role.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Access, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
Proactive, professional, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
