Finance Division
Credit Controller
Salary from 32,890 to 36,052 pa inclusive with potential to progress to 38,422 pa inclusive of London allowance
The Fees, Income and Credit Control Office is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and well organised Credit Controller to support all internal and external stakeholder requests across its service portfolio.
Responsibilities include
Knowledge of Income / debt collection cycles and procedures, including relevant legislation.
A track record of successful, relevant income/credit control experience
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to exercise professional judgment and to use initiative appropriately
Good planning and time management, project management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
A desire to deliver top quality customer service at all times
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative
Ability to work as part of a team
Proven ability to plan and organise and prioritise own workload
Candidates should have
Knowledge of Income / debt collection cycles and procedures, including relevant legislation and required to be CICM qualified or working towards qualification. Post holder should be undertaking a form of study or attending online training in Credit Control or working towards at least CICM Level 2 Qualification.
A track record of successful, relevant income/credit control experience at an appropriate level of seniority over a minimum of 3 years
Excellent IT skills including in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and an Accounting or Credit Control system.
Experience of analysing and interpreting data, producing complex reports and delivering briefings to others and good planning and time management, project management and organizational skills
Experience of working in a fast-paced financial setting, possess excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills to be able to assist students and customers, an understanding of student finance and experience of working with a residential booking system would be an advantage.
You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be tactful, diplomatic and have a flexible attitude.
