We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
Customer Accounts Management
Management of Debt Collection.
Manage Customer returns process
Process customer returns and manage queries to resolution
Process daily invoice runs
Chase outstanding invoices for payment
Cash allocations
Log of Sterling Receipts each week
Ensure payment run does not include payments to overdue customers
Ensure all new accounts are credit checked, and recommending credit limits
Liaison with Commercial teams re overdue Customers
Escalate potential payment issues internally
Management of payment plans with Customers
Liaison with Customer Services team to ensure no goods sent out or released to overdue Customers.
Monitor existing customer base and amend terms where necessary.
Bank Management
Assist in management of the bank by ensuring that retentions retained by the bank against our finance facility are kept to a minimum. This includes:
o Ensuring that all reconciliation differences are resolved
o Completing the AR monthly return to Praetura
Accounts Support
Manage samples taken from stock
Ad hoc projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS - CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in credit control is essential
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to multitask and work well under pressure
IT Literate - must have good Excel knowledge
Proven experience of dealing with customer enquiries on a day-to-day basis
Experience in managing post, compiling spreadsheets, and producing MI
Strong communication skills and telephone confidence with the ability to adapt your communication style to any situation
