About Us

We are now looking for a Credit Controller / Administrator to join our growing team at our Salford Quays office. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, confident with clients and institutions, and experienced in handling administrative and financial correspondence within a professional environment.

About the Role

This is a key office-based administrative role supporting the firm's casework, finance, and client communication processes. You will play an important part in credit control, client account administration, and formal correspondence with banks, financial institutions, and official bodies.

While this is not a legal qualification role, experience in a legal, financial, or regulated environment will be a strong advantage. Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

Manage credit control and administrative processes relating to client matters Prepare and issue professional written correspondence, including letters to banks, lenders, and official organisations Communicate confidently with clients by telephone and email, providing updates and requesting information Liaise with financial institutions, government bodies, and third parties to obtain documents and responses Assist with complaint handling administration, including tracking responses and deadlines Maintain accurate records across internal systems and case files Support solicitors and case handlers with general administrative tasks Ensure all work is completed in line with SRA and regulatory standards Review and analyse DSAR and large volumes of bank statements, identifying key transactions, timelines, and patterns relevant to claims Assess high-value and unusual transactions, spotting indicators of scam activity and inconsistencies to support case decisions

Requirements

Strong administrative and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication Confident telephone manner and professional client approach Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Reliable, well-presented, and a strong team player

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in a law firm, financial services, or regulated office environment Previous credit control or accounts-related administration Experience drafting professional letters or formal correspondence Familiarity with banks, lenders, or complaint-handling processes

What We Offer

Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per year (depending on experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday (short day on Friday) Holidays: 28 days including public holidays Plus an additional 10 days of company holidays Location: Office-based in Salford Quays Next to tram stop with excellent transport links Free on-site parking available Supportive, professional working environment Long-term stability and growth within a specialist legal firm
