Role summary:



The primary responsibility of the Credit Risk Analyst is to apply strict Credit Risk Management practices and support the Credit Risk Supervisor in identifying potential risks and opportunities for the company's profitability. Ensuring that all credit limit decisions comply with the MEU Credit Policy and Authorisation Matrix, the analyst will employ various analytical techniques, including reviewing and analysing financial statements and other pertinent financial information to assess the stability and financial health of our customers. The analyst will effectively communicate with TCI and customers, while also providing training to BU personnel and building relationships with a large sales team across multiple sales offices to ensure alignment and understanding of credit policies and decisions. Additionally, the analyst will provide regular credit monitoring and financial reports to the Credit Risk Supervisor, including month-end and year-end reporting.

Skills/Responsibilities:



Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to evaluate creditworthiness. Viewing daily Experian financial updates and advising the Credit Risk Supervisor on any adverse information including Credit Limit reductions. Working with COFACE our TCI (Trade Credit Insurer) on a daily basis supporting our Business Units growth where appropriate. Periodically reviewing the creditworthiness of existing customers to ensure ongoing compliance with credit policies. Obtaining Dow Jones reports and completing VAT validation checks on all customers. Maintain detailed daily and adhoc credit reports and summaries for review by senior analysts or management. Maintaining the Credit Risk Inbox to ensure efficient processing of credit risk requests. Work on supporting the Credit Risk Supervisor with automating and streamlining procedures to enhance integration, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Experience:



Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Over 3 years Credit and / or Financial Management experience. Knowledge and understanding of SAP 4 HANA. Risk Management background preferred. An ability to interpret and evaluate financial statements. Good judgement and decision-making ability. Highly numerate, analytical, and thorough with good attention to detail. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage expectations. Sound business sense and commercial awareness. Ability to use own initiative and willing to learn new skills. Strong negotiation skills. High level of concentration for monthly, yearly and adhoc reporting.
