We are currently hiring for the position of Crematorium Technician at our reputable crematorium. Join our dedicated team and play a vital role in providing comfort and support to grieving families during their difficult time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Crematorium Technician at the Kent and Sussex Crematorium, you will be part of a team providing a very important service for the bereaved families of Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.

You will be completing tasks on a rota basis, either assisting within the crematorium chapel, working in the grounds, aiding with administration in the office or carrying out the cremation process.

This is a customer facing role and you will need to demonstrate first class customer service skills, with a willingness to help people at a potentially very distressing time.

You will also carry out the final cremation process itself in a professional, respectful, and dignified manner. You will receive full training within the ICCM Crematorium Technician Training Scheme (CTTS).

You will be working on a rota basis Monday to Friday covering two shifts; the early shift is from 8.30am to 4.30pm and the late shift is from Noon to 7.15pm.

ABOUT YOU - YOU WILL HAVE:

Experience in customer care dealing with difficult or distressed customers

A sympathetic and caring attitude with the skills to be an excellent team player

Knowledge of health and safety within the workplace

The ability to work flexibly and multitask

Experience using IT systems including the Microsoft office package

The physical ability to carry out manual handling activities and gardening
