We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Paralegal to join our firm. The successful candidate will provide essential support to lawyers by conducting research, drafting documents, taking instructions from clients and managing case files. This role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in various office software applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Assist lawyers in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by gathering relevant information and documentation.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Draft legal documents
Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Manage schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Utilise office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to create reports and manage correspondence.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
Police station accreditation is preferred but not essential as this will be offered.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Basic IT skills to navigate legal databases and research tools.
A keen attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A full UK driving license
