Job Purpose
To provide criminal administration services within the remit of the Criminal function. This will include the effective delivery of efficient administrative, clerical and completing tasks according to national and local guidelines, SPS Practices and Procedures and Security Standards.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the calculation, interpretation, accurate and timely validation of all untried and convicted warrants as well as preparing documents and associated activities relating to prisoner movements (transfers/ release/ court appearances) while ensuring all Prisoner Record Systems (PR2) are accurately updated and maintained at all times.
Receive, record and arrange the service of indictments/citations, returning same to relevant Procurator Fiscal office
Administration of Court bails, interim liberations and PF releases.
Responsible for checking and carrying out the appropriate actions of all e-mails received and being mindful of their sensitive nature
Ensuring compliance with record retention policies by processing and storing all relevant documentation pertaining to a prisoner's time in our establishments.
Provide adhoc cover, as and when required commensurate with role and level within organisation.

Qualification Requirements
A minimum of five National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment.
Successful completion of SPS Warrants training or willing to work towards.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
Competent and experienced in the use of Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook- ESSENTIAL
Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration - ESSENTIAL
Excellent numerical skills and ability to interpret and compare a range of information and to have well-developed communication skills both oral and written- ESSENTIAL
Experience of Warrant and Sentence calculations- DESIRABLE
