Job Purpose
To provide criminal administration services within the remit of the Criminal function. This will include the effective delivery of efficient administrative, clerical and IT support, completing tasks according to national and local guidelines, SPS Practices and Procedures and Security Standards
Responsibilities
Responsible for the calculation, interpretation, accurate and timely validation of all untried and convicted warrants
Responsible for the administration of the reception/returns from Court warrants, including ensuring all dead and non-return warrants have been disposed of by the courts
To compile and manage the PRS system generated court list both for personal and video link appearances, ensuring its accuracy
Receive, record, and arrange the service of indictments/citations, returning same to relevant Procurator Fiscal office
Process and store relevant documents such as warrants and other documents relating to a prisoner's detention, updating records to take account of changing prisoner circumstances
Carry out tasks commensurate for the effective requirements of the establishment

Qualification Requirements
A minimum of five National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment. ESSENTIAL
Successful completion of SPS Warrants training or willing to work towards achieving this qualification. ESSENTIAL
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook. ESSENTIAL
Ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet departmental and organisational deadlines. ESSENTIAL
Excellent numerical skills and ability to interpret and compare a range of information. ESSENTIAL
