About the Role

We're looking for a driven, proactive, and ambitious Criminal Lawyer to join our growing team in Stratford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone recently qualified or with up to one year's experience who is passionate about criminal law and eager to develop within a supportive, hands-on environment.

You'll work closely with experienced lawyers on a variety of criminal cases from initial client meetings and case preparation to attending court. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly and confidently, and is motivated to grow into a strong advocate.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in handling a diverse range of criminal law matters under supervision. Attend police stations, client meetings, and court hearings (where applicable). Draft legal documents, statements, and correspondence. Conduct legal research and case preparation. Support senior solicitors in managing case files and liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties. Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients from all backgrounds.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) - NQ to 1 year PQE. Demonstrable interest or prior experience in criminal law (preferred, not essential). Proactive and eager to learn, a genuine "go-getter" attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident with clients and colleagues. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Professional, reliable, and keen to develop a long-term career in criminal defence.
