Position Overview



The

Crop Strategy and Sales Manager

plays a key role in shaping the crop production strategy and driving fresh produce and or indoor farming unit sales. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in crop planning, customer engagement, and designing tailored salad and herb mixes based on market trends and customer needs. This is a hands-on role that bridges farm operations and commercial sales to deliver high-quality, customised produce to clients.

Key Responsibilities



Crop Strategy and Planning



Develop and manage crop production plans based on market demand, client preferences, and growing conditions. Collaborate with the cultivation team to ensure timely and consistent production of crops. Design customised salad mixes and herb combinations tailored to customer specifications. Monitor crop performance and recommend adjustments to improve yield, taste, and sustainability.

Sales and Customer Engagement



Drive B2B and B2C fresh produce and / indoor farming unit sales, including to restaurants, retailers, wholesalers, and direct consumers. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities. Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform crop selection and product innovation. Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage sales contracts.

Cross-functional Collaboration



Work closely with operations, cultivation, and quality control teams to ensure smooth coordination and delivery. Liaise with marketing to promote new mixes and seasonal offerings. Contribute to the development of packaging and branding for salad mixes and other produce.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Hotel management, Food Technology, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in crop planning, sales, or fresh produce management. Proven understanding of indoor farming methods and crop varieties (leafy greens, herbs, microgreens, etc.). Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to design and innovate customer-focused crop offerings. Knowledge of sustainable farming practices is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM systems preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-36,000.00 per year
