Medspace Solutions Ltd is a progressive business, which designs, manufactures and installs joinery and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings) for clinical environments, primarily hospitals. Our workshop manufactures cabinetry, solid surface worktops and reception desks as well as bespoke furniture items. Due to the companies continued growth, we are now seeking a delivery driver to join our team.

The requirement for deliveries is usually 3-4 days a week but this can vary depending on workload. When deliveries are not required then you will be based in the workshop assisting where needed. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely drive and operate a company van to deliver furniture to various locations. Load and unload furniture, ensuring all items are securely transported. Read and interpret Floor Plan drawings to accurately position furniture within rooms according to specifications. Provide assistance during installation, ensuring furniture is set up in the correct locations and ready for further installation. Perform early morning deliveries as required, ensuring items are delivered on time. Ensure all items are accounted for before departure and upon arrival. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are available. Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and job completion forms. Communicate effectively with the installation team and customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery-related issues. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, especially while handling heavy or bulky items. Assist with other duties as needed, including potential warehouse support or other logistical tasks. Conduct thorough and up-to-date vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements:

Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). Proven experience as a van driver, with a clean driving record. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications. Excellent knowledge of safety practices while driving and during deliveries. Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting. Flexible and willing to work early mornings or adjust schedules as needed for deliveries. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Over the age of 25 is essential due to Company Insurances
Preferred:

Previous experience with furniture delivery or similar roles. Knowledge of local roads and routes. Experience in customer-facing roles.

40 hours per week; 22 days holiday PA plus bank holidays.
