Empowering you to innovate, get paid & shape the future while you learn
Do you live and breathe code? Are you curious about how AI can change the way we build digital products? Do you want to work on real, meaningful projects that make a difference while developing your skills and getting paid?
Then the Cube Academy has your name written all over it.
At 3 Sided Cube, we build tech for good: award-winning apps and digital products that make a real difference to millions of lives. Through The Cube Academy, we're bringing passionate engineers and designers into the heart of our innovation work.
As part of the Academy, you'll join us as a Full Stack Software Engineer focused on internal AI-driven innovation projects. You'll help us explore new ways to use AI to power how we work, think, and build.
You'll be part of a small, creative team working directly with our leadership to explore how AI can improve how we build, think, and deliver impact. It's a hands-on role for someone who loves to experiment, iterate, and turn ideas into working products.
What You'll Be Doing
Building and shipping internal tools, prototypes, and AI-powered products using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
Integrating AI models and APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain) into production-ready tools and applications
Collaborating with our CEO and engineering leadership on AI-driven internal innovation projects
Experimenting with new technologies and approaches to solve real business challenges
Taking ownership of end-to-end development - from idea to deployment
Experimenting, learning fast, testing bold ideas, and sharing what works (and what doesn't!)
Who You Are
You're a skilled full stack engineer who loves building things that actually work. Someone who is curious, hands-on, and not afraid to experiment or learn from mistakes.
You might have years of industry experience, or you might be self-taught and have been coding since you were young, what matters most is your ability to turn ideas into robust, usable software.
You could be working towards or recently completed a degree, master's, or PhD in AI, computer science, or a related field - but more importantly, you've got the practical experience to bring ideas to life.
Essentials:
Experienced in JavaScript & TypeScript, with strong knowledge of the MERN stack (React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB)
Confident shipping code - you've built and launched real, working products (whether through work, study, or personal projects)
Experience with Python or backend frameworks such as Flask/FastAPI
Familiar with cloud deployment and modern tooling (e.g. GitHub, Docker, CI/CD)
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, VSCode with Copilot, etc.)
Excited about applied AI - integrating models, APIs, or intelligent features into live systems
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-moving, experimental environment
Comfortable working with ambiguity and collaborating across technical and creative teams
Nice to have:
Exposure to AI/ML pipelines, data processing, or fine-tuning models
Interest in design-led development and user experience
