We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to develop the next version of our innovate automated chemistry tech platform .


Youll be working in a growing, cross functional engineering team with expertise across software, hardware, data engineering, AI research and infrastructure. Chemify is in start-up mode and our product roadmaps are being delivered in tight iterations, to be successful in this role youll be comfortable moving fast and pitching in across a range of our applications, were a team that show up for each other and leverage collaborative problem solving.


Our application suite enables end-to-end design, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting and learning from chemical synthesis campaigns. We are using an API-first architecture that allows us to rapidly iterate in multiple squads. Youll need a customer-focused mindset, proficiency in Python and React, be comfortable with containerisation concepts and deploying changes quickly and safely using a modern DevOps toolchain.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the product team in rapid, agile iterations, translating complex requirements from key stakeholders into impactful features within the application suite. Own the lifecycle of features development across the full technology stack from concept to planning to development, including monitoring the impact. Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to ensure new features are well architected. Champion best practises for testing, author and maintain code and user facing documentation. Contribute to internal communities of practise (CoPs) for software engineering. Mentor junior colleagues and share your knowledge and experience with the wider team. Contribute to team-wide initiatives, including code reviews, design discussions, process improvements and workstream planning.

What youll bring:




BSc or equivalent experience, preferably in a Computer Science related field. 5+ years commercial software engineering experience. High EQ: bring compassion and technical acumen to the team, we are cross-functional by design, and everyone is a natural team player who can improve best practises. Proficiency with Python and extensive experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask or Supabase. Knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres. Expertise in SQL and familiarity with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy. Proven commercial experience building and maintain features with Javascript, Typescript, React and a keen interest in UI/UX. Familiarity with

cloud-based data services

(AWS/GCP/Azure). Proven ability working with containerised deployments (Docker). Experience using AI-assisted coding and development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) as part of modern best practices. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment and tools such as Gitlab and ArgoCD.

Beneficial Skills:

Interest in chemistry, manufacturing, or robotics. Previous experience in Life Sciences or AI Drug Discovery is a real differentiator for us. Devops knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK. Exposure to serverless application architectures using AWS Lambda. * Interest in product design and improving UI/UX using tools such as Figma.
