We are seeking a proactive and highly organised College Administrator to join our central administration team. In this pivotal role, you will provide efficient and effective cross-college administrative support, working collaboratively and flexibly to ensure the smooth running of operations across multiple campuses.
This role is varied and fast-paced, offering the opportunity to work with staff, students, parents, and external partners while supporting events, managing resources, and delivering high-quality administrative services.
Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact, handling queries professionally from parents, students, staff, and external agencies.
Produce high-quality documents and reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Maintain and manage central databases (staff, activities, trips) in liaison with Heads of Learning.
Support and track the progress of active complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
Organise and manage curriculum events and logistics in collaboration with internal teams.
Co-ordinate learning resources, including ordering, stock-taking, and liaising with Finance.
Organise curriculum meetings: prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
Manage Head of Learning diaries and support meeting arrangements (including meet and greet, room booking, and parking).
Provide admin support for college events (parent evenings, open evenings, enrolment).
Monitor student attendance, update records, and follow up absences in line with policy.
Assist with the organisation of Student CPD days, including transport, resources, and data collation.
Job Requirements:
Essential:
Good all-round education, particularly in English and communications.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and PowerPoint).
Proven experience in a busy, fast-paced administrative role.
Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with people at all levels.
Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Desirable:
IT qualifications (ECDL or equivalent).
Recognised Administration qualification.
Experience in the Further Education or Education sector.
