Key Responsibilities
As a Curriculum Co-ordinator, you'll play a vital role in shaping and delivering education and mentoring for children and young people with additional needs. This is a role for someone who can balance creativity and structure, ensuring our curriculum is engaging, purposeful, and effective.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and evaluating curriculum materials that meet educational standards and the needs of our young people
Delivering tailored lessons and activities, as well as supporting other staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences
Taking ownership of a classroom space, ensuring it is safe, inspiring, and well-organised
Planning, preparing, and running sessions aligned with EHCP outcomes and individual goals
Supporting and mentoring staff in effective teaching strategies and approaches
Monitoring and analysing curriculum effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance data
Conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching and curriculum delivery
Preparing reports on curriculum initiatives and progress for managers and stakeholders
Staying up to date with educational trends, digital tools, and best practices to continuously improve our offer
This is a hands-on, creative role with real responsibility, perfect for someone who wants to lead on learning while still being actively involved in the classroom.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Willing to work towards a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification
Has at least
2 years' experience supporting children or young people
Has proven experience in curriculum design or programme management
Understands how to support children with a range of additional needs
Can confidently lead a classroom, inspire colleagues, and deliver engaging sessions
Is positive, organised, and creative in their approach
Communicates clearly with young people, families, staff, and professionals
Has strong presentation and training skills to share ideas effectively
Is familiar with
Office 365
or similar tools (desirable) for IT purposes
Holds a driving licence (desirable but not essential)

A valid Teaching Assistant qualification
At least 2 years' experience supporting children or young people
Two references (one must be from a recent or current employer)
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check (funded by us)
A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
