The Role





London South East College are seeking to recruit two highly motivational Curriculum Manager for young learners English or Maths provision. Candidates are expected to have experience of leading and delivering such provision from Entry level to GCSE

.

Ideally candidates will also have a background in either English or Maths or have sound knowledge and experience of delivering such subjects.


Skills and Experience





The Curriculum Manager will provide support to the Director and Assistant Directors of English and Maths in managing the English or Maths curriculum across designated sites. They will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of their department, including line management of relevant staff, with a strong focus on leading teaching, learning, and assessment (TLA) and enhancing the overall student experience.



This role is dedicated to driving excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring young learners achieve and progress successfully. Key responsibilities include regular monitoring, planning and supporting continuing professional development (CPD), and collaborating with the Quality team and Human Resources where necessary. The Curriculum Manager's work is intrinsically linked to improving performance, engagement, and outcomes in English and Maths for all young learners within their curriculum area.



Minimum criteria:




A degree in an English or Maths subject

Teaching qualification

Evidence of successfully teaching English or Maths subjects

Evidence of managing English and Maths provision to at least course leadership level
