Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to serve as a vital support to our senior leaders, driven by a genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference to the lives of Adult Learners.



This role is pivotal in enhancing services and opening future opportunities for residents across West Sussex.



Your work will be at the centre of supporting the development and administration of Adult Learning programmes which improve the lives and outcomes for individuals, families and communities, support economic growth, improve employment, social inclusion, health and wellbeing.


Salary

: 27,254 to 28,598 per annum, 15,468 to 16,231 (pro rata for part time)

About the job


The role is based in the Adult Learning Service, and no two days are ever quite the same! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:


Providing effective and efficient daily support to the Adult Learning Management Team, including Curriculum Leads and Programme Officers, supporting them in the design, delivery, and management of a range of programmes. Monitoring programme performance and progress, delivering customer support, and managing a complex service delivery. Working alongside internal and external partners to provide advice and guidance to a range of Adult Learning customers, including responding to queries and concerns, and facilitating the development of effective relationships. Working in collaboration with Adult Learning Officers to ensure that administrative support is provided to priority tasks and aligns with the schedule of inspections, reporting, and service delivery within the service area.

Required Qualifications and Skills


A Level, BTEC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable comparable experience. Solid and accurate IT knowledge, such as proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, to facilitate the collection and presentation of information and data. An understanding of project management processes, procedures, and policies relevant to operating within a demanding project management environment. Experience working within a project management team or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide advice and support to a diverse range of stakeholders. This includes responding to information requests and preparing reports. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to generate technical information to identify opportunities for service improvement. Experience or developed insight into at least one aspect of the Adult Learning curriculum, such as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adults with Learning Disabilities (ALD), Family Learning, 16-19 provision, or commissioning learning programmes.
