About the role

At McCain, we're on a mission to banish soggy fries and Bring Veg Excitement to the foodservice industry. And that's where you come in!
As our Field Sales Manager, you'll be the fearless leader responsible for coaching and guiding a team of passionate Regional Account Managers across the region. Together, you'll drive the delivery and profitable growth of our beloved McCain, Pickers & Strong Roots branded Foodservice business in the independent marketplace across sectors such as pubs, fast food and casual dining, as well as growing our independent distributor base.
As part of our field sales commercial planning team, you'll play a vital role in shaping our short, medium, and long-term growth strategy. You'll continuously improve performance with our valued customers and their regional account managers. Think of yourself as a master strategist, always keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
Reporting directly to the Director, Customer Development, your responsibilities will extend far and wide:
Develop and optimise the team structure to ensure we're primed for success. Create an environment where teams feel a sense of belonging and thrive together.
Coach and train your team, helping them reach their full potential. With structured development plans aligned with the McCain Performance framework. You'll be their guiding light, both in person out in trade and online.
Support your team to craft and execute business plans that will drive our volume and GP% to new heights. We're all about exceeding expectations and reaching our goals.
Stay ahead of the game by keeping up with industry knowledge. Attend key conferences, build a network of cross-functional contacts, and share insights that will shape our long-term strategy. You're the trendsetter and the go-to source of industry wisdom.
Dive into the world of data and Salesforce reporting, analysing individual and team performance.
Collaborate closely with our Category and Marketing partners, ensuring your team has the right insights to execute short and long-term strategies flawlessly. It's all about teamwork and synergy.
And of course, handle those necessary admin tasks like a pro. Accuracy and timeliness are the name of the game.

Proven track record in delivering through others and effectively manging a diverse field sales team
Experience in developing strategic plans covering regional, customer and resource plans
Proven selling skills and major account management experience. You know how to navigate the sales landscape like a pro and handle those big accounts with finesse.
Previous P&L experience that showcases your financial skill. You understand the numbers game and have the know-how to drive profitability.
A deep understanding of the foodservice market. You know the ins and outs, the trends, and the customer preferences that drive this dynamic industry forward.
Experience working in a branded environment. You thrive in an environment where brand power is a driving force, and you know how to leverage it to your advantage.
The ability to influence, negotiate, and engage like a true maestro. You can build solid relationships and get things done, both within our organisation and with external customers.
Salesforce/CRM capability is a plus. If you're tech-savvy and familiar with these tools, even better!
