About the Role:
We are a busy skip hire, trade waste and waste transfer station business looking for a Customer Service & Operations Support Officer to join our office team.
This is a front-line, phone-led role where you will be the first point of contact for customers booking skips, arranging trade waste services and enquiring about our transfer station. You will take ownership of customer enquiries from first contact through to resolution, working closely with drivers, site staff and the transport team.
This role suits someone who enjoys customer contact, can think on their feet, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
What You will Be Doing:
Handling incoming telephone calls and customer enquiries
Taking and processing skip hire and trade waste bookings accurately
Advising customers on services, access requirements and basic pricing
Liaising with drivers and site staff to resolve issues in real time
Supporting weighbridge and office administration, including waste documentation
Maintaining accurate customer records and paperwork
Remaining calm, professional and organised during busy periods
What We are Looking For:
Essential
Previous customer service experience (telephone-based or customer-facing)
Confident and professional telephone manner
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage pressure
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working in an operational environment
Desirable
Experience in waste, logistics, transport or construction sectors
Office or administrative experience
Familiarity with weighbridge operations or waste documentation (training provided)
