Customer Renewals/retention Associate (entry Level)

Slough, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Why this role is exciting

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Renewals Associate to join our Accountancy team in Slough. You'll play an essential role in supporting our existing customers, ensuring they feel valued, informed, and confident in renewing their IRIS products.

This role is perfect for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, communicating with customers, and building strong relationships. You'll be at the heart of the customer experience -- making sure clients stay with IRIS, understand the value of our software, and receive the high-quality service we're known for. You'll also build strong commercial skills and gain insight into the accountancy software industry, all while helping our customers continue their journey with us.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Provide friendly, focused service to customers -- answering questions, providing renewal quotations, and supporting general queries. Maximise revenue by delivering excellent customer service while following company policies and processes. Take ownership of each customer enquiry and see it through to resolution. Communicate renewal options clearly, advising customers on the best fit for their needs. Respond to customer enquiries via phone or email, ensuring information is gathered and shared promptly. Maintain and update renewal records so all renewals are actioned before their due date. Build strong relationships through proactive telephone account management. Keep product knowledge up to date so you can confidently support and advise customers. Track customer activity and provide proactive communication throughout the renewal journey.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a great fit if you have:

Experience in a customer-facing role (telephone or face to face). A background in sales (desirable but not essential). Education or accountancy knowledge (advantageous but not required). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good numeracy. The ability to stay calm under pressure using logical thinking. High attention to detail and confidence updating information accurately. Motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to work well within a team. IT literacy -- especially Outlook and basic Microsoft Office tools. A genuine commitment to delivering great customer service. Ambition to progress and build a long-term career within a successful organisation.

What You'll Get

You'll receive comprehensive training from experienced team members, along with ongoing coaching to help you grow quickly and confidently. You'll develop practical skills in customer communication, renewals management, negotiation, and product knowledge -- all with real-time support from colleagues who want to see you succeed.

There's a clear progression path, too. With the right attitude and the structured support you'll receive, you can move into roles such as Renewals Specialist, Account Management, Customer Success, Sales Support, or other exciting opportunities across IRIS where strong customer understanding and product knowledge are highly valued.

You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team that celebrates learning, growth, and great customer outcomes. This role will help you develop communication skills, commercial awareness, and confidence -- all of which open doors across the business.

What to Expect From the Application Process

Here's how the process works, step by step:

Every customer conversation helps you grow. Every renewal builds your confidence. This role gives you the foundation, training, and support to build a rewarding career in renewals, account management, customer success, or beyond -- starting right here at IRIS.

Please note:

Due to high application volumes, we may close this role early -- so apply as soon as possible to be considered.
