NFU Mutual' s Stafford agency is one of the leading NFU Mutual Insurance branches in the country and we are currently recruiting for a Customer Sales Advisor.

Are you confident, target-driven, and ready to build a career in sales? We're looking for a motivated Customer Sales Advisor to join our expanding local NFU Mutual branch. In this sales-focused role, you'll handle inbound enquiries, provide accurate insurance quotations, and process transactions with efficiency and professionalism. You'll be responsible for maximising every opportunity cross-selling relevant product to existing clients, supporting policy renewals, and delivering an outstanding customer experience over the phone. With a proactive, can-do attitude, you'll build rapport quickly, helping our customers find the right solutions while contributing to the overall success of the team. Duties include:

Initiate proactive sales activity to create new business opportunities for the Agency.

Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers

Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products, as applicable to product licences

Review and advise upon customer general insurance requirements

Comply with all applicable sections of the NFU mutual insurance compliance manual for the agency network, the agency guide and local agency procedures

Obtain appointments for our Financial Advisor to contribute towards our Agency target

Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of agency and NFU Mutual staff

Process all customer instructions for policy amendments to meet required completion standards

Working within Compliance Framework required by the Company / Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Use of Microsoft Word & Excel as a minimum

Maintain record keeping requirements for your role

Produce correspondence to required time frames and quality standards

Perform other duties as assigned by Management Team

Possess good IT Skills (particularly Outlook, Word & Excel)

This position is based in our Stafford office.

Qualifications required:

Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above

IT GCSE or equivalent
