Customer Sales Assistant - Inverness

RESPONSIBLE TO:

General Manager

AREA RESPONSIBLE



FOR:

Anywhere on cash & carry site, but emphasis on Flower/Plants/Sundries (what's applicable)

JOB PURPOSE

Working as part of a team assisting the Managers with the work that has to be carried out.

Assisting customers when necessary to achieve a positive shopping experience

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES



1 Product presentation and pricing



Helping to unload and unpack the product.

Checking that the supplier has sent correct quality and quantity and products meet the Customers needs. Making sure all products are sleeved properly. Making sure all products are nicely displayed, empty buckets are removed. All products correctly bar-coded/priced on time.

2. Customer Orders



Selection and packing of customer orders in preparation for daily deliveries.

3. Stock Control



1 Helping with the price reduction of older product and help controlling the wastage

Be vigilant on the shop floor to help avoid pilfering. Carrying out/assist with the stock take.

4. General Jobs



1 Helping with the loading/unloading of trucks/vans.

2 Assisting customers with heavy products/customer trolley's etc.

3 Helping in the transportation of any pallets, trolleys, boxes, buckets.

4 Ensuring that the department is kept swept and department floors are washed down once a week.

5 To assist, as required, in all other areas of the JVV Cash and Carry as required.

6 Ensure Department is organised, tidy and efficient making it attractive to Customers.

7 Contributing to a safe working place and comply with our Health and Safety Procedures
