Job Overview

As a Customer Service & Sales Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting customers with their later-life planning. You will engage with customers primarily via telephone, providing clear, empathetic, and professional guidance from initial enquiry through to post-sale support. Your focus will be on delivering a seamless customer experience that reflects our commitment to care, integrity, and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound calls relating to pre-paid funeral plans and at-need enquiries, providing accurate, clear, and compliant information. Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers including follow-ups to maintain engagement, answer queries, and ensure customer satisfaction. Deliver tailored solutions based on individual customer needs, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and active listening at all times. Identify appropriate opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell related products or services, ensuring recommendations are suitable and customer-focused. Communicate confidently and sensitively with vulnerable customers, recognising their needs and ensuring fair and appropriate outcomes. Maintain full compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and quality standards while consistently delivering high levels of customer service.
Key Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy, compassion, and delivering a high standard of customer care. Proven experience in a customer-facing or sales-based role (such as B2C sales, contact centres, hospitality, or retail), with the ability to build rapport and trust. Competent in using Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems to accurately record, manage, and update customer information. Strong attention to detail and effective organisational skills, enabling accurate handling of customer enquiries and documentation. Ability to work confidently within a regulated environment, following policies, procedures, and industry standards while prioritising customer needs and fair outcomes. Previous experience within funeral care, estate planning, financial services, or adult social care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
