We are seeking three motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our Damp and Mould and Leaks Teams as Customer Service Officers. You will be the first point of contact for residents and service users, handling a variety of queries via phone, email, web chat, and other channels. The role includes raising repair orders, following up on enquiries, and ensuring excellent service delivery at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and empathetic manner.
Respond to web chats, emails, and other queries promptly.
Accurately log repairs, raise orders, and update records using IT systems.
Carry out follow-up calls to check on service quality and job completion.
Provide clear and effective communication to customers, colleagues, and partner services.
Support the team with basic administrative tasks.
Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
Understanding of how to organise and prioritise a workload.
Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery.
Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage targets.
Confident IT user with ability to use multiple systems.
A customer-first approach with empathy and patience.
Experience
Essential: Previous customer service experience (face-to-face or call centre).
Advantageous: Experience in housing repairs, maintenance, or similar sectors.
Working Arrangements
Office based in Peckham SE15 (4 days per week).
1 day working from home.
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Occasional flexibility may be required to meet service needs.
