CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - 9 months Fixed Term
PING is a family-owned golf manufacturer, founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim. The PING brand is synonymous with innovation, performance, quality and service and has a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing industry-leading, custom-fit golf equipment, while also being a highly regarded golf apparel brand.
PING Europe, based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, assembles and distributes golf equipment to the UK, Ireland, Europe, Iceland, South Africa and the Middle East. The European headquarters employs over 250 people in a range of different functions, including manufacturing, operations, marketing, sales and finance. The company also has an apparel design office, based in Cheadle, Cheshire, and is the proprietor of Thonock Park Golf Club, also in Gainsborough.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Customer Services team as a Representative,
based at
our head office in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
. Being a part of the Customer Service team, the individual will be responsible for providing best-in-class support to our customers, Area Sales Managers and European Offices, including order entry, queries and amendments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
:
Handle incoming sales calls.
Process orders for all PING products - this will be a combination of email and telephone orders.
Enter and/or edit orders, check status of orders, monitor progress of rush orders, track shipments and resolve customer issues.
Support the UK Sales Team and European Offices.
Process credit/debit memos.
Arrange uplifts for faulty returns or supplier order errors conveying any relevant information to the customer and process claims for FEDEX and UPS when items are lost/damaged in transit.
Making and confirming appointments for the PING European Fitting Centre.
Maintain thorough knowledge of PING Products, services and the production process.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
:
A proven education record to include as a minimum Mathematics and English qualifications.
Computer Literate - use of Microsoft Word and Excel would be an advantage.
Skills and Personal Qualities:
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
Must be confident and possess the ability to work within a team environment but also be at ease working on their own initiative with minimum interaction from their immediate manager.
Must be a self-starter who enjoys problem solving.
Reliable, conscientious and a team player.
Detail orientated and with a passion for quality.
Knowledge of golf would be preferable.
