We're looking for a Customs Analyst to join the Supply Chain team within our Co-op. You'll help make sure our branded products are legally sold in relevant markets, maintaining a range our customers love. This is a key role in supporting our ability to trade compliantly and efficiently across UK and Irish markets

This role ensures our import and export activities meet all legal and regulatory requirements. You'll help us stay ahead of legislative changes, manage compliance risks, and support the business in making informed decisions that protect and enhance our trading capabilities.
What you'll do
Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on customs clearance
Investigate trade agreements, import/export requirements, and product classifications
Lead audits, enquiries, and customs-related projects to ensure compliance
Provide first-line assurance of customs activity and cover for the Team Leader when needed
Support business changes by identifying customs impacts, risks, and opportunities
Communicate technical customs guidance clearly across all levels of the business
Continuously improve internal customs processes and manage SOPs for agents and suppliers
Act as Deputy to the Customs Manager and support wider business projects
This role would suit people who have
Strong working knowledge of customs legislation
A solid understanding of commercial and logistics operating models
Experience in compliance roles and managing compliance risks
Proven ability in process improvement and change management
Excellent relationship management and communication skills
