About the role:

Based in Coleraine, this new role is to oversee the daily requirements of the customs, health and associated compliance of the function. Including in the function is EIDR customs entries, port and authority enquiries, CHED creation, duty entry and reclaim

Key Responsibilities:

People: Manage all People related matters in such a manner as to pre - emptively, where possible and and/all issues from escalating into a formal ER process.

Transactions: Ensure that all required Customs transactions are completed to the required authority clearance standard [green routed] and that CHED's are validated. Ensure supplementary declarations are completed to the required timeline.

Customs: Oversee Customs function with clearance and compliance requirements, especially duty reclaim, post clearance information and supplementary declarations. CHED creation and ensure validation.

Regulatory Information: Keep and maintain records to support any HMRC evidence required for duty payment, calculation of duty reclaim and ensuring compliance to VAT import / export rules.

Import and Export: Gain a working knowledge of import and export regulations, certification and ongoing requirements. This is a key for the performance of this role

Duty, tariff and VAT: Gain a good working knowledge of duty, commodity codes, preference and VAT rules for both imports as well as compliance.

Cost Optimisation: Ensure all duty is correctly calculated, debited and claimed where permissible.

Requirements:

Ability to work with and understand complex data Ability to work with spreadsheets to a semi complex level Good people skills and Customer interface Can work to tight deadlines Analytical understanding, supply chain principles as well as Supply Chain principles Keen and willing to learn, high attention to detail Comfortable with working on local and public systems eg Traces, CDS. Comfortable with working with a variety of stakeholders internal Lynas departments, enforcing authorities and Customers

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

Qualifications: BSc in Logistics or related field

Experience: 3+ years in Custom operations.
