Job Overview

The Computerised Cutter & Laminator Operative is responsible for the accurate cutting and laminating of various materials--Fabrics and leather--using CNC-operated machinery including the Bullmer cutter, Pathfinder Cutting System, and VEIT laminator.

The role requires strong attention to detail, high standard and knowledge with working with computers and CNC Operated machinery, safe working practices, and the ability to follow technical instructions and production schedules. Communication skills, basic technical drawing understanding, and good time management are essential, as the Quality of output directly represents the company.

Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Programming of the Bullmer cutter and VEIT Laminator

Monitor and operate the Pathfinder Cutting System for precision cutting of various materials.

Sorting of Leathers prior and post cutting and laminating as per job request

Maintain work area to 5S

Raising material/component quality issues to the Team Leader

Responsible for quality control of own work

Take responsibility for tools and equipment issued, raising any issues to the Team Leader

Liaise with the Team Leader to ensure that they have the right components for continuous work

Complete all relevant paperwork accurately, including but not limited to works orders

Follow Team Leaders instruction regarding Production schedule, but remain able to work independently highlighting any issues to Team Leader

Maintain a positive and friendly company image to all customers, suppliers and staff

Follow company quality guidelines, raising any concerns to management

Comply at all times with the all company procedures including the Health and Safety policy and ISO accreditation

Other duties as required by the business

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
