Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS) to track stock levels and locations. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading of goods. Perform picking & packing duties to prepare orders for shipment. Assist in shipping & receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocking shelves as needed. Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment. Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; certification is a plus. Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial. Strong understanding of materials handling processes and safety regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable for equipment maintenance tasks. Experience in construction or similar fields may be advantageous but not required. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
